蜀甄阁火锅 (Shu Zhen Ge Steamboat)

I didn't know since when I keep on have this craving for steamboat or lok lok. I used to be a regular customer at Pulau Tikus market hawker stalls lok lok where I would usually visit there 3 to 4 times a week.

I spotted this steamboat shop after 2 months it opened , so my mom and bro decided to give it a try. 

When I sat in the shop, I realized that I can has my own individual steamboat pot and NOT shared with others ! =D Me likey it that way! Not because I'm acting super hygienic by disliking the act to drink the same soup others had already used their spoon dip in with their saliva. It was because I don't like the fact that MSG from processed food will enter the soup after boiling them.

 The good thing I like it about here is that you order what you want to eat and not by set as I usually don't eat processed food like fishballs and what ever balls. I like to eat real food for my steamboat, real as in like vege, meat slice, mushroom etc

 I ordered yin yang soup where I can choose 2 types of soup, Nourish Beauty Pot (left) and Tom Yam (right)

 Mon's choice of Kimchi soup. Not recommended as it does not goes well with steamboat.

 Bro's Searing Pot (malak soup,super spicy after it boils a while), recommended if you order a lot of meat dishes.The spiciness and aroma from chili's powder makes the meat flavorful . Good and also oily soup haha

 Best beef roll, beef roll and mutton roll. The best beef roll tasted like normal beef roll,nothing special.

The thing I dislike about here is that you want sauce, you pay extra! They only provide you free red chili's ,minced garlic, sesame oil and soy sauce @@ We had the shacha sauce and it was pretty good. From the menu, you can see they also provide seafood juice and I didnt ordered that because it sounds funny and weird to me haha seafood juice! 

REVISITED here again for supper. This time I had Nourish Nutrition Pot (left) and Fat Bear had Nourish Seafood Pot(right),the seafood one has scallop and shrimp.I prefer Beauty Pot than Nutrition Pot. 

The chicken slice and pork roll that we ordered suits me well ! No fatty parts!

Good place to fix your steamboat craving ! Not to pricey and the auntie here is very friendly and serves us well in my first and second visit. The problem is the parking , very very limited space as the shop is opened at residential area.

乜都撈 La Gourmet Desserts

I have been wanted to be here ever since I know such place that serves huge size of shaved ice are available. My first time in Johor , I did not get to visit here due to my exam is on the next day before we leave JB for Penang so no time,gone my dessert!

After 1/2 year passed, I visit JB again and this time I insist I die die also must visit here if not imma die in frowning whole day hahaha

Before we had our dessert , we settle our lunch there too. I ordered this for my lunch ,it may look normal in size in photo but in reality it's not! I forced myself to finish the dory fish *bloated! should have ordered chicken because the chicken is smaller but fish comes in 2 pieces and I don't really like to eat dory fish.

After meal, here comes our desserts!

The height of this yummylicious dessert is about 30 cm. The strawberry were huge and also sour! -.- It came along with a bowl of pearl and we found out the bottom of the shaved ice has pearls and mini sago too*pearls overload but not bouncy. 

The dessert itself is sweet enough as the condensed milk are melted to the bottom. If you prefer it to be sweeter, you can increase ur sugar level in your blood too and get diabetic as they do provide you condensed milk, gula melaka and brown sugar that comes in bottles.

While we were happily digging in our shaved ice, a huge Mango Ice Mountain which is crazily high were order by the group of family members sitting next to our table.

 What's so special about it was the height and only mango fruits and nothing else except pearls in the middle of the ice which is the reason why I did not order this.Not worth it as both signature ice is about the same price.You want more ice,I give you less fruits. You want more fruits, I give you less ice LOL Of course more fruits and less ice more worth it la,well ice is just frozen water ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was thinking, by the time the 5 of us eating this halfway the ice would have already melted. The uncle who ordered this was kind enough as he saw me struggling to take photo of their ice from my table. He welcomed me with a smile to approach his table to take photo *paiseh!


La Gourmet Desserts house is a must visit if you are in Johor! The price of the desserts and foods are not too pricey and reasonable,good good ✌
