诚蠔油滑鸡(首馆) Boiled Chicken Restaurant

Boiled chicken. We ordered 1/2 portion. (RM 14)....The chicken texture was just nice even the breast part was tender to bite. However the soy sauce tasted normal and nothing special, would be better if there's roasted sesame oil added to it to bring up the flavor.

The Plum Sauce Pork was the best ! Small size at RM 5. It was fried till crispy topped with some plum sauce and i'm very sure they coated the pork with their secret ingredient powder before frying it as the taste tasted aromatic lingering in the mouth lol

Beansprout , big (RM 4). This shop reminds me so much like the chicken rice shop in Ipoh where beansprouts were served separately. Again this one lack of the aromatic roasted sesame oil.

Meal for 3. The soup was given free and full of MSG taste from fish balls , it's like drinking fish ball soup!

I had the Hor Fun and again i'm gonna say the same thing,lack of roasted sesame oil !!!! =(

Ordered Crispy Mantis Shrimps and no where to be found on our table, they have forgotten ! Luckily auntie forgot to serve us haha as we were already too full !

Roti Bean & Town Bike

  Finally I'm hereee at Roti Bean for breakfast on one fine Sunday morning ! Chii chakk! Snap a photo of me on this bicycle as I have never ride a 3 person ride bicycle before and fyi you can't ride it as the back wheel was chained.

After this photo was taken, I successfully made the back wheel of the bicycle errrmmm went into the small drain behind LOL i dont even know how I did that

Here's the menu.Only one,ya. That's it. hahahah. Full menu on one printed side. It was a very small shop so can't expect much from them as there's only around 3 persons working.

 I had RB Soya Milk (RM 3) while Bear had RB Signature Soya Milk (RM 4) which was actually soya milk with addition of Horlicks, recommended.

 Bear waiting, I'm waiting. Together we wait for our foodddd...  =D

Sunny Egg Toast (RM 5). A very simple and normal one. Nothing shout about. Just toasted bread with 1/2 boiled egg in the middle. Personally,I would prefer the traditional style of toasted bread and 1/2 boiled egg in a cup.

I had Egg Benedict with Turkey Ham (RM9) while Bear ordered Egg Benedict with Smoked Turkey Bacon (RM10)

Portion was kinda small. Taste wise was normal and so-so for me . Hollandaise sauce on top didn't impressed me as it was not fragrant enough, kinda bland though and the toast for the egg benedict was rather hard.

Quay Pot Fish Head Seafood Claypot

Spotted this newly opened shop so we decided to settle our dinner here. It is at Vantage building where Victoria Sweet Pastry is located and just right next to Fresco Bistro. If you can see Tesco means you are so near to here!!

 Since it is just the two of us here so we ordered the combo pot for 2 pax (RM 39.90) that comes with either fried or raw fish or BOTH( we had both),big prawn and fish ball.I asked the waiter to exclude the fish ball as we thought it was just the normal processed fish ball bought from market but I have come to learned that it was not but was homemade fish ball after placing our order -.-

For the price of RM39.90 ,it was worth it and reasonable as the fish was really fresh so does the big prawn. Soup was good as well , I don't think they add in a lot of MSG which is a good thing as I don't feel thirsty after this. Soup can be refilled btw

蜀甄阁火锅 (Shu Zhen Ge Steamboat)

I didn't know since when I keep on have this craving for steamboat or lok lok. I used to be a regular customer at Pulau Tikus market hawker stalls lok lok where I would usually visit there 3 to 4 times a week.

I spotted this steamboat shop after 2 months it opened , so my mom and bro decided to give it a try. 

When I sat in the shop, I realized that I can has my own individual steamboat pot and NOT shared with others ! =D Me likey it that way! Not because I'm acting super hygienic by disliking the act to drink the same soup others had already used their spoon dip in with their saliva. It was because I don't like the fact that MSG from processed food will enter the soup after boiling them.

 The good thing I like it about here is that you order what you want to eat and not by set as I usually don't eat processed food like fishballs and what ever balls. I like to eat real food for my steamboat, real as in like vege, meat slice, mushroom etc

 I ordered yin yang soup where I can choose 2 types of soup, Nourish Beauty Pot (left) and Tom Yam (right)

 Mon's choice of Kimchi soup. Not recommended as it does not goes well with steamboat.

 Bro's Searing Pot (malak soup,super spicy after it boils a while), recommended if you order a lot of meat dishes.The spiciness and aroma from chili's powder makes the meat flavorful . Good and also oily soup haha

 Best beef roll, beef roll and mutton roll. The best beef roll tasted like normal beef roll,nothing special.

The thing I dislike about here is that you want sauce, you pay extra! They only provide you free red chili's ,minced garlic, sesame oil and soy sauce @@ We had the shacha sauce and it was pretty good. From the menu, you can see they also provide seafood juice and I didnt ordered that because it sounds funny and weird to me haha seafood juice! 

REVISITED here again for supper. This time I had Nourish Nutrition Pot (left) and Fat Bear had Nourish Seafood Pot(right),the seafood one has scallop and shrimp.I prefer Beauty Pot than Nutrition Pot. 

The chicken slice and pork roll that we ordered suits me well ! No fatty parts!

Good place to fix your steamboat craving ! Not to pricey and the auntie here is very friendly and serves us well in my first and second visit. The problem is the parking , very very limited space as the shop is opened at residential area.

Sunnyside Up Restaurant

Sunnyside Up restaurant were open last year , around 4rd quarter of the year replacing Figo's restaurant. The first time I dine in there was for dinner , I remember I ordered Pork Gordon Blue and FatBear ordered BBQ Soft Ribs (RM 15) and they had me waiting for an hour even FatBear has already finish eating his.

 We had late dinner , we reach there around 9 pm so you do understand how I feel at that moment,hungry and waiting foolishly . In return, I was given a complementary of 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream :)

Since the price of the food is reasonable so we decided to give it a visit again for our lunch .

Forgot the name of this salad.The dressing used was pomegranate and some herds. RM5 and not really worth it. The triangle thingy was actually some pastry crust and I dont like it

Followed by Pumpkin soup served with diner roll and butter.RM 3 if not mistaken as the menu did not mention about the price.The taste was well so-so as the pumpkin taste does not really stands out, couldn't really taste any pumpkin @@

 Main course has arrived !!! Roasted Pork Knuckles (for 2 pax). The meat is tender which I like but sadly the skin is not crispy at all, Y is it not crispy since it is roasted?? The gravy sauce that came along ermm has nothing to shout about. The mashed potato was made in instant, and found out that salad served is actually the same salad that I ordered earlier. This cost RM 39 (around there)

We're both so full at the end ! I will most probably visit here again for the set lunch .
